On the run up to Business Gateway’s Tayside Conference on Wednesday, 21st February, Business Gateway, Developing Young Workforce (DYW) and Elevator are hosting a video pitch competition, with a cash prize of £1,000.
‘Making Your Pitch HAPPEN’ invites any primary or secondary school pupils in Dundee, Angus, Perth or Kinross to submit a 60-second video pitch to be considered.
The competition is open to a school/team/individual with an idea to help their school to get young people prepared for the world of work.
School pupils are to come up with new ideas to ensure all young people have equal access to work-related knowledge that will guide and prepare them for the next stage of their lives. This could be setting up a business within a school, a series of events for pupils or any other innovative ideas our young people in Tayside come up with.
Team Elevator and DYW judges will select the top 5 pitches from those submitted.
Live at the Conference on Wednesday, 21st February, we will invite these top 5 pitches to pitch live for 2 minutes on stage in front of 350 people, and a panel of judges who will decide the ultimate pitching winner.
The 5 finalists are competing to win a cash prize of £1,000 to help bring their idea a reality within their school to get young people prepared for the world of work.
